What you see in the pictures and videos Sheena Minahan posts online are exactly what you can expect when you meet her. Her felines are cared for and socialized in a meticulously clean environment. Her attention to detail with regard to their nutrition , health, cleanliness, and exercise is obvious the minute you are in the presence of any of these precious little Minskin darlings. We could not be happier with our choice of cattery and Oliver is a delightful addition to our family.

Sheena is an AMAZING breeder!! Growing up, I was always iffy on the thought of breeders due to seeing the conditions of the animals and where they were kept- that was until I saw Sheena's facility. She keeps her breeding adults and babies in the most outstanding shape, caring for each individual animal as if they are her own personal pets! Every cat that she has and the kittens that are produced, are the most happiest and healthiest babies I've ever seen from a breeder. Her compassion and love for these animals are just some of the qualities that you can't find from other breeders. Her cats live in a very clean and homey area which makes it very easy to transition during adoption. I have personally adopted from Sheena and I have the most personable, affectionate and friendliest kitten, Opal. Every time we have visitors, she is the first to greet them with purrs and cuddles. She is fearless and comes on adventures with me whenever I go out in public, and she loves it! Sheena's cats come highly recommended when someone asks me where they can find an outgoing, loveable cat. She is incredible with socializing them and keeping them healthy on a recommended raw and natural diet. I honestly don't have any complains or negatives to speak about, you'll have to go visit the kittens and Sheena yourself to see!

We got our baby Frida Rose from Sheena and she is such a joy. She has the sweetest, goofiest personality. I take her all over in her kitty backpack and she loves it. She's social with new people as well as our other 6 cats, and she can even play fetch! She fits in perfectly with our family and we love her so much. Thank you!

We adopted our sweet Nala last summer and she has been the perfect kitten! She is funny, playful, affectionate and loving. Sheena was great from the moment we connected, responding quickly to texts and sending photos and videos of our potential kitten. She is very knowledgeable about breeding and genetics and patiently answered all of my questions. She is passionate about natural and holistic pet-raising. After we brought Nala home, Sheena checked in regularly and quickly answered any questions I had. It is evident that Sheena is a conscientious breeder who cares deeply for each and every kitten that she adopts out. We will definitely go to Sheena when we are ready for our next kitten!

I always wanted a dog but I do not have the lifestyle for one. So you can imagine my excitement when I learned about the minskin cat breed and its dog-like qualities! I adopted my sweet Marble Jean in February of 2023 from Sheena. The process was very smooth and straightforward, and Sheena was extremely informative about all aspects of care for my kitty. Marble Jean is absolute perfection: extremely friendly (even to strangers), loves playing, talking, and cuddles all the time. Couldn’t imagine my life now without her.

Our family feels so fortunate to have adopted our kitten Cedar from Sheena! He is the sweetest little guy who loves to cuddle and play. From the very first day we picked him up, Cedar has been incredibly friendly and social with everyone in our family (adults and kids) and anyone who comes to the house. My husband has always been a dog person, but he adores Cedar - who we joke is part cat, part dog, and part monkey! We had never had a pet on a raw diet before, but Sheena made great recommendations and answered our questions to make the adjustment smooth. Throughout the adoption process, Sheena sent updates as well as adorable photos and videos. It is evident that she truly loves her animals and is passionate about their care. I highly recommend adopting from Sheena and Magic Curls Cattery; it’s truly one of the best decisions we’ve ever made!

I recently adopted a little boy from Sheena and I cannot say enough about how thorough and helpful she was in preparing for bringing “Mater” home. It’s clear that Sheena treats each cat she has as if it were her own. Mater came to me healthy and happy and adjusted to his new home in less than a week. I rarely write reviews about any products or services, but I am making an exception. The simple reason is that I have never been so amazed about the understanding and caring that Sheena showed in nurturing our kitten. We were very specific on what we wanted in our new addition and the care and attention she delivered was outstanding. Additionally, she was so good at bringing us along in the process: from email updates to actual videos of our kitten in action. Her attention to detail, follow through and communication was outstanding. We have had our kitten for about 3 months now and he has exceeded our expectations. He is a loving, attentive cat that brings us joy every day ( He is like a dog: plays fetch, waits for us by the door, and sleeps with us every night. ) I highly recommend Sheena and I am 100% sure you will love your new addition.

"Sheena is amazing!! I could not recommend her enough!! We are completely IN LOVE with Archie!! He is so loving and has been an incredible addition to our family. Everyone comments on how playful and sweet he is and his perfect temperament! When we went to pick up Archie it was evident that Sheena takes amazing care of her cats and kittens. Archie was litter box trained, slept through the night from the first night we brought him home and has no issues with getting his nails cut/being groomed. "I did my research and was set on getting a Minskin. Now who do I get my new family member from? I was thrilled to find Sheena and went to visit her and her cat family right away. I fell in love with the breed even more after meeting her crew. Her cattery is amazing, and immaculate, with many furnishings, cat trees, cat perches, and the cat wheel. Her felines have tons of space, are fed a top-notch diet, and get lots of socialization and much human love. These darling cats were amazingly entertaining, friendly and precious. And so my Phoebe was born February 6, 2024. During Phoebe’s early stages with Sheena, we had regular communication photos and videos too. Upon arrival to my house Phoebe knew her name, Sheena taught her the name I chose, was litter trained and slept through the night. Phoebe was well socialized, which was so important to me. I did not want a cat that hides. It’s been over 30 years since I raised a kitten. I had my concerns if I would be up for it. I can tell you there is nothing difficult about raising this kitten. She is not destructive, she runs to greet my guests, she meets me at the door when I get home, walks me to the door as I leave, follows me throughout the house, she plays with my grandchildren (4 & 6) and is making friends with Winnie (Aunt Jessica’s Shorkie). Sheena does not end the relationship upon taking the kitten home. I must say I so highly recommend Sheena, as an excellent breeder. Actually, she is much more than a breeder. Sheena is a woman who is really dedicated with a passion for her cats, her kittens and a kindhearted spirit that we reap the rewards from. With all confidence I can say you will be ecstatic sticking with Sheena."

Sheena is incredible. She truly goes above and beyond to care for her cats. They have incredible facilities and she cares for each and every one of them. We were so amazed to see her house and the whole set up she has built for the kitties. We were fortunate enough to have little Remi come into our lives and Sheena’s communication, recommendations and tips have been priceless. You can really tell she does not treat anything regarding the cats like a business but instead it is a true life passion for her. Remi is the snuggliest, sweetest cat (and amazing with our 4 yr old) and I credit Sheena for giving her the absolute best start to her life. Thank you Sheena!

From my initial contact with Sheena to the present, my experience with her and her cattery has been exceptional. Our kittens are healthy, social, playful, cuddly, and highly intelligent. They adjusted seamlessly to their new home, sleeping through the night on their first evening with us and using their litter box from the start. Sheena’s dedication to the health and well-being of her cats played a significant role in making the transition so smooth. If my husband and I were to adopt another kitten in the future, it would be from Sheena! Highly recommend!!!

We didn’t think our family could be more complete…then we received the absolute, most loved & special kittens cared for by Sheena. NOW we’re complete! The entire process with Magic Curls Cattery was unlike any I’ve experienced or heard of- it truly was more like adopting from a friend who raised these kitties as her own, than a breeder. From the food she fed them to the structures, litter boxes, and products used, she truly gave these Devon Rex and Minskins the best possible quality from day 1. As others have highlighted, the communication process with Sheena was thorough, friendly & enthusiastic, and it continues even though our kittens are home. We also had to make a late change to the pickup process for our kitties, and Sheena accommodated so we could get our Devon Rex and Minskin before the New Year. She coordinated between us & her preferred Flight Nanny service, and was as excited as we were throughout the whole process. Now that Dagur and Kiara are home, they’ve proven to be unlike any cat my husband has ever raised. They are kind, gentle, playful and snuggly. They are truly a blessing, and we are so thankful that breeders like Sheena exist to share their passion for raising such a special breed!

We got to bring our new fur babies Max and Maci (brother and sister) home the day after Christmas 2024. We did a 10 hour car ride back to NC and they were absolute angels, even using their travel litter pan. We cannot say enough amazing things about Sheena and Magic Curls Cattery. Sheena has the most loving and inviting environment for her cats. Max and Maci are the most lovable, playful, and smart kittens. They have adjusted to our home and our family so quickly. We are absolutely in love and appreciate all the follow-up support Sheena provides when we have any questions about their nutrition and other needs. We are loving teaching them new tricks and spoiling them with their new toys.

I cannot recommend Sheena enough! From start to finish, she was incredibly kind, understanding, and supportive throughout the entire process of adopting my beloved little baby boy Hiccup. She patiently answered all my questions, helping me prepare for bringing him home. She even allowed me to visit him beforehand to ensure we were the perfect match. Hiccup is nothing short of perfection—a playful, energetic, silly and affectionate little Devon Rex who has seamlessly integrated into my home. He instantly became best friends with my older Devon Rex, and their bond has been heartwarming to witness. Even after bringing him home, Sheena has continued to be an incredible resource. She’s always available for questions and checks in to ensure he’s adjusting well. It’s clear that Sheena truly cares about each and every one of her kittens. They are an extension of her, and that level of dedication and love is exactly what you want from a quality breeder. Sheena is amazing and she blessed my 17 yr old son (who has autism) with a beautiful and sweet minskin, Mozzie. She has brought him so much joy and is the best companion imaginable. He has cat allergies so we were looking for a hypoallergenic cat and he can snuggle her right near his nose with not a bit of issues. So very thankful for Sheena ❤️
