Hi, and welcome to my website! Magic Curls is a labor of love that I am so excited to share!

My name is Sheena Minahan, and I am a crazy cat lady in more ways than one! I live in beautiful Hunterdon County, NJ with my super supportive, animal loving husband and son. I am a small-scale breeder of two breeds; the Devon Rex, and the Minskin, both known for their unique coats, and hugely amazing personalities that have the power to convert anyone into a cat-person! Our sires and queens are fully health tested before entering our breeding program, and our kittens and cats go home with an amazing health guarantee. 

My cattery was born from a love of cats, of course, but also from a passion for health and wellness. I strive to bring the healthiest, happiest kittens into this world, born from moms and dads who are living their best lives! I strongly believe that mental health is just as important for animals as it is to us, so I am constantly aiming to provide a wonderful environment in which they can thrive. My hope is that your new kitten will be everything you dreamed of and more!

When my son was born, I did a fairly deep dive into the world of natural and holistic care. As every mom does, I wanted to nurture that little boy’s body to the best of my ability and lay the foundation for optimal health and longevity. I was and still am, overly cautious about everything that we put in, and on our bodies, avoiding toxins as much as possible.

Each and every animal in this house receives the same level of care and attention that we humans do. The foundation is laid with a species appropriate, complete, and balanced diet. This means cats a 100% raw diet consisting of only whole, ground meat, organs, and bone. Carefully selected supplements are added as needed, based on each individual cat’s needs. This nourishing diet develops a healthy gut, which is necessary to support all other functions, including a strong immune system. Also extremely important, I avoid toxins in every way possible here by using safe cleaning products, avoiding artificial fragrances, and limiting the use of pharmaceuticals only to times when they are truly necessary. I am fortunate to have access to amazing holistic as well as conventional veterinary care.
